In recent years, Ethiopian opal has rapidly entered the jewelry market, arousing widespread research interest. In this study, Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy have been applied to analyze the spectroscopical characteristics of hydrophane opals from Wollo, Ethiopian.
